John & Mary Wilton in 1861, farmed Concession 3, Lot 27 (maybe brother of Hastings Wilton); 27 June 1866, John Acton bought all of Lot 27 (146 acres) from the Crown. Charlotte and John Acton sold this land to John and Mary Wilton Dec 20, 1871.

In 1805, Jacob Vandusen bought Lot 24 Concession 2, Montague Township, Lanark County, Ontario
Sept 20, 1840, he sold part to John Acton & Charlotte
In 1852, Jacob set up the Vandusen Settlement of the Wesleyan Church in Canada. Trustees were:
John Loucks, Ashall Vandusen, John Acton, John Rose, James Blair, George Davis, William White, John McCreary.

John married MARY. MARY was born in Ireland and died about 1840.
